]]>I see we agree on the girls! Which just means it was highly noticeable. :P More noticeable than the all-boy cast of Zita the Spacegirl, since we didn’t both catch that.
I wouldn’t put this in with dystopian fiction, but in apocalyptic fiction. The series as a whole might be post-apocalyptic, but this book by itself is definitely right at the start of.. well, when the apocalypse began.
Hunger Games, Divergent, Matched, Uglies.. those series are dystopian. They have societies that would not be pleasant to live in.
