Email/Guestbook ResponseWe love getting fanmail! Thank you everyone who has responded enthusiastically to our site. Even a small thanks goes out to those who reply in a more negative light, because at least you felt us worth your time to Email. ;) On this page, we'll respond to some of the mail we've received. In some cases, we'll quote the Email. If you'd prefer not to have your Email quoted, please just tell us. We won't post Email addresses, as that would open you up to spam you probably don't want. If you want your Email address public, you can just stick it on the Guestbook. Because we're getting quite a bit of mail, and we're only working on this site in our free time, we probably won't respond to every Email either privately or on here. We're sorry for that, but we'd rather put our time into creating more content for the site. As always, our Email address is flaminggeeks@yahoo.com. It's great to read the Emails from you guys that tell us you think a lot like we do. We hoped we were hitting home with a few people. Otherwise we'd be alone in the world and it'd be a fluke that we found each other! It seems like most of you guys are fans of Sailor Moon and Cardcaptors. No surprise, since most of you are coming in from the Anime Turnpike. ;) But we've also heard from at least one Farscape fan, and you'll be seeing more Farscape content in the not-too-distant future. To Samuraiheart who asked if we intend to include more episode reviews, we certainly do! It does take quite a bit of work, but we'll keep plugging away at them. But don't let that stop you from making your own page! It's not wasted time, because different people will notice different changes and have a different opinion on things. Besides, you may get yours up before we do! Melissa McCarthy informs us that the Escaflowne ads she's seen prominently feature Van. More guys taking the lead role away from our shoujo heroines! Stay tuned this Fall to find out how badly they've screwed this up! We'll be adding a new section for it. To those who asked, yes, you definitely may link to any of our pages. We would prefer you to link to one of our front pages (either www.flaminggeeks.com or flaminggeeks.tripod.com), only so that we can track where people are coming in from. Under the laws of fair use, you may also quote parts of what we've written, if you properly credit us. But we do ask that you not steal images for your own pages, nor link to individual images. If you like our Akugis (and comics are soon to come!), then please just link to the Akugi page. And to Yuki, who took offense to my (J. Andrews) comment: "If children in Canada are familiar with these names and find them 'memorable' and 'simple', then I have to inform you, Nelvana, that American children are not and do not." -- I'm sorry about that. I didn't intend it as an insult against Canadians. If you'll read it carefully, I hope you can see that it is not an insult. Tori and Madison are not common names in the US for the genders Nelvana assigned them in Cardcaptors. Aiden is not common at all. I was speculating that maybe these names are 'memorable', and 'simple' to Canadian children, because maybe they're used more in Canada than in the US. I don't think that's me being racist. I simply don't know. I do know that different names are common in Great Britain and Australia than in the US. I think it would be more inconsiderate of me to think Canada and the US were one in the same.
