That’s the only way to do it so that it’s worth the trouble — my mom only got the lights on hers last week and is just now getting the ornaments on. I don’t think that’s a good return on investment of time and energy when you consider that you need to take down and pack up all the decorations again. Our tree is nice too in that it’s a middle of the road artificial tree with strings of lights already attached to the branches. So all you have to do is set it up and plug it in and half the work is done.<\/p>\n
Last weekend, Bob got the weekend off from Dorrie-watching for a birthday present, so mom spent the weekend. As it turns out, she didn’t have power all weekend (we lost ours 3 times on Thu-night\/Fri-morning but it came back on for good around 1pm on Friday) so it’s a good thing she was here. It wasn’t as horrible as I thought it would be having no true breaks all weekend, but it’s a real relief to have the weekend done with. I’d been kind of dreading it ever since I came up with the plan back in October.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
Like all bloggers, I’ve got a lot of posts “I’m working on” which for me means thinking them out and writing them (brilliantly, I might add) in my head, but never quite getting around to putting them in the computer.
