It didn’t feel like Monday at all, but it didn’t really feel like a particular day at all — our cabin was inside, so there was no natural light. It could have been any time of day.

Bob and I slept in and woke in time to head up to the lunch buffet. After filling ourselves up on chicken and skirt steak, we came back down to the cabin to find E and Carl asleep. Rather than disturb them, we retired to the ship’s library and hung out there for a while. But after an hour or two sitting at the table doing sudoku and playing game boy, I started to feel rather queasy. We were still in the North Atlantic and the ship was not exactly still.

So I took a nap. And when I woke up, I felt much better. Fortunately, since it was time for something to eat. Now, on the ship there were two ‘speciality’ restaurants along with the normal ones. Le Bistro was not included for free with your passage, but Pasta Cafe was — you just had to make a dinner reservation. We’d done that at lunch, and our reservation was for 8. So around 5:30, we hit up the buffet and ate some chicken while we did a crossword puzzle. And finally at 8, we headed down to the Pasta Cafe for spaghetti bolognese and potato mushroom soup.

Carl and E were back from their own dinners when we came back to the cabin, and the four of us sat around for a while playing “Bad Person” (aka Asshole), until we got hungry again and ordered a pile of food from room service. After we pigged out on that, we eventually went to bed and I played Monopoly for a while before I finally fell asleep.

By Monday morning, I was completely disoriented.
