Our tree is still up, though I have vowed to myself that it will come down this weekend. I haven’t turned on the lights lately — it feels odd to turn them on after the holiday has passed, though there’s no real reason I shouldn’t. I put it up late this year, though, so there were fewer days to enjoy it.<\/p>\n
Santa and our little snowmen are still up, too, and need to be packed away again. It looks like I’m going to have to start a second Christmas box with all the new random stuff we’ve gotten this year. And maybe by next year, I’ll have actually finished one (or both!) of the stockings that I started.<\/p>\n
Now that I’ve finally finished the craft project (pictures to come — they’re on the camera still) that I’d planned before last<\/i> Christmas, I can move on to completing others that have lain around for years waiting for me to get to them. When I was in High School, I used to sew or do needlepoint while watching TV. Now, I’m on the computer while I’m watching TV, and the typing occupies my hands, leaving me less productive. I want to try and change that — to pick up a project during time when otherwise I would be aimlessly surfing the web, looking at Amazon or newspapers other than the ones I read as a matter of course.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
