Lily has been kidnapped and the gang has decided that a rescue operation is in order. I’m forced to put Hagrid back on my team, since I have no other people to replace him with, and so everyone proceeds up some rope and oddly placed scrap metal from the slums (ground level) to the city (elevated). We approach Shinra HQ, a towering building with innumerable guards, and prepare to storm it with our group of…3.

Moaning and complaining, Hagrid, Harry and Hermione race up 59 flights of stairs. At this point some machinations are required, as the levels above can only be accessed via key card, and naturally, being intruders, we do not have any. Through a combination of sneaking, stealing and schmoozing, we manage to make our way through all of the upper floors.

We effect a rescue of Lily from her captor, the creepy scientist Hojo, coincidentally picking up the first of our strange cat companions at the same time. <strike>Red XIII</strike>McGonagall was being used as a research specimen and turns out to be much nicer than expected, if less than impressed by its new companions.

At which point we are captured and brought before President Shinra. Who is, I must say, quite as stupid as Lucius Malfoy, but rather round and tubby. Everyone is thrown into some convenient prison cells to stew for a while.

A bit later, Harry makes the astonishing discovery that his cell door is open. He goes out to discover that not only is the door unlocked, the guard outside has been foully murdered. He wastes no time in freeing his companions and after some perfunctory concern expressed about the huge trail of blood and dead bodies, everyone sets out to find out what’s going on now.

What’s going on now is that President Shinra is dead. Dead dead dead. But the stockholders need not despair, because the President’s son, <strike>Rufus</strike>Draco is ready, willing and eager to take over the company. Harry quickly assures everyone that he can take Draco and urges them all to escape. They comply. Everyone except Hermione, who decides instead to linger randomly to see who wins the fight. (So she can hit on the survivor?)

The B team heads down the elevator shaft — in an elevator — battling all the way down to the bottom floor. Harry fights with Draco, who, as befits a man with a shotgun fighting a man with a sword, views this as a big joke and spends much of his time taunting Harry and finally grows bored with the battle. He departs in his helicopter.

Teams A and B regroup in the HQ Lobby. It is quickly decided to add grand theft auto to the list of charges, as the gang seizes control of several display vehicles and drives them out of the city.

Next: The World Map!
