I did not sleep well last night. Or the night before. I’m not sure why this is — I’ve cut back on the caffeine the past couple of days, and I haven’t been eating significant amounts of sugar, so neither of those should be a factor.<\/p>\n

I ended up getting up around 7:45 today, which, as anyone who knows me will testify, is insanely early.<\/p>\n

Managed errands: went to the bank. Er. Errand.<\/p>\n

Also saw The Notebook, which was good, sad, and worth seeing. (There were no men at all in the theatre.) The movie was preceded by so many previews that the woman in front of me turned back and asked me if she was in the right theatre — I’m not sure why she was confused that the movie did not start at the time advertised; movies never have done that, in my experience.<\/p>\n

Vanity Fair Preview: Good. Awfully Becky heavy, though, which makes me wonder what they’ve done to the story. Because while Becky is a main character in the book, the book is just as much about Amelia as it is about her — and Amelia got approximately .5 seconds of preview devoted to her, not even mentioning her name.<\/p>\n

Wimbledon Preview: Ahhh. I saw the poster for this when we went to see Spider-Man 2. I blame Prince of Tennis for this new addiction of mine; it’s so far not quite extended to a real tennis obsession, but I seem to be devouring as much fake<\/i> tennis as I can. I downloaded the first episode (the only one presently available) of the J-drama Ace o Nerae. I need to dig up my fansub tape of the anime (and see if it’s BT available…) I stopped by the bookstore to see if PoT 2 was in stock yet (no :P). The preview made me want to see the movie more than the poster did. I am going to have to add Paul Bettany to the list with Colin Firth. *ponders watching Master and Commander again*<\/p>\n

And, last but not least, the astouding conclusion to “Jessica and Beth”:<\/p>\n\n\n
The next day, Jessica gave Beth an outline of the plan. They decided to act on it right away. First, they were to go back to the scene of the crime. Then they went down the alley that the crooks (and supposedly murderers) had disappeared.<\/p>\n

Down into the alley they walked. Jessica thought that it was a subway tunnel only without lights. At the end they stopped. “Oh well I guess I was wrong,” sighed Jessica
unhappily. <\/p>\n

Suddenly, the girls heard voices. One of them sounded like the policeman. The voices were coming from a window behind them. “Listen Beth I’m going to keep an eye on these guys. You go call the police.”<\/p>\n

“Okay” said Beth and ran off. <\/p>\n

Jessica got up and peeked through the window. “Oh No,” she thought to herself, “they’re about to leave, I have to do something to slow them down.” She made up her mind quickly. Standing up she turned around and yelled “Hey BOZOS how ya doing!”<\/p>\n

Then she sprinted down the alley and headed for the nearest side street. A moment later the crooks busted out of the alley like a couple of skyrockets on the 4th of July. <\/p>\n

After about 10 minutes Jessica started running out of breath. “I hope these guys start running out of breath soon too” she thought out loud. Next thing she knew a man lifted her off of the ground. Jessica kicked him he yelled and dropped her.<\/p>\n

Suddenly she was sitting on a bench gasping for breath and the police were chasing the crooks who had taken one look at the police and started running away. <\/p>\n

The next day the police called Jessica’s house. They wanted her to come down to identify the crooks. She did. After a short court session they (the murderers or crooks or whatever you want to call them) got a life sentence for murder and impersonating a police officer. <\/p>\n

Beth and Jessica congratulated each other with an ice cream cone. On their way home they saw a suspicious masked character come out of the bank, and he(she) was carrying a bag. Also, the bank’s alarm was going off. <\/p>\n

“After him(her)!” shouted Jessica as the guards came running out of the bank in hot pursuit.<\/p>\n

“Oh well I guess we’re off on another adventure.” Thought Beth to herself, out loud she said. “Wait for me Jessica!”<\/p>\n
