We met in Lexington, which I no longer have an excuse to drive through yet absolutely adore (the houses are so pretty there&#8230; sigh), so I was pleased.<\/p>\n<p>I was more pleased when we decided to try out the random Italian place, Mario&#8217;s, for dinner.  It was a restaurant I drove past for years on the way home from work, yet it was just far enough away that it was too much trouble to go there for dinner.  But now I&#8217;ve been there and tried it; it was decent &#8212; one of those neighborhood Italian places where you bring your own wine &#8212; but nothing really <i>special<\/i>, at least not to me.  (In other words, I still have not yet found anything to replace my beloved Vescio&#8217;s meatsauce from Minneapolis.)<\/p>\n<p>But that&#8217;s one question answered.<\/p>\n<p>After dinner, C. and I were going to perhaps walk around the town a bit, but we decided it was too hot and muggy to do so comfortably.  So we left and I came home.
