Yay, boredom.<\/p>\n

So, it’s been about a month since I posted. Not because there was nothing to write about, though that is, in fact, partially true, but mostly because I just didn’t feel like it.<\/p>\n

Anyway, onward.<\/p>\n

Thesis: Still don’t have a topic. Must make some effort at changing this fact within the next week.
Puzzle Pirates: Still playing. The games get dull after a while, but it’s still kind of weirdly addicting. The main con is that it takes too much constant attention, even more than reading a book or watching television. Thus it is difficult to do other things at the same time.
Websites: *shuffles foot* Don’t ask.
Blackout: We were literally 10-15 minutes from my grandmother’s house when the power went out. And it then proceeded to stay out for the entire evening — came back just after midnight. This could obviously have been worse — could have stayed out a whole day or more — but it was bad enough. Hot and no food.<\/p>\n

Shoujocon:
+ the hotel was more flat and less vertical. No more waiting for elevators!
+ I, personally, was rather less frantic and able to find coverage for the part I was in charge of.
– Less people. Economy, blah; school starting, blah; NJ people whining, blah. This was good for those who were there (and good for certain extremely disorganized committees *cough*) but not so good overall.
+ location. It didn’t take 5 hours to get there!
– some of the hotel people were giving off a weird vibe
+ wireless at the hotel
– wireless only in the lobby\/public spaces<\/p>\n

So overall a good time was had. Next year will be interesting.<\/p>\n
