It&#8217;s small, but growing steadily.  Management is very involved with all aspects of the company, and there are really only two layers &#8212; the group in charge, and the regular employees.  The management is essentially a committee structure, though there is one person who is nominally in charge of the whole business.  The regular employees are to a great extent removed from the decisions which management has to make, often only seeing the results and hearing the answers to questions they may not have even known were asked.  At some point, one of the members of management begins holding secret meetings with several of the employees, leaking information to them about the discussions of the committee and freely revealing their personal opinions of the other employees and the other managers.<\/p>\n<p>Now, it is obvious to me that this sort of behavior is unprofessional and immature.  It would not be tolerated in a real business environment.  I think it&#8217;s unethical too, because it a) reveals privileged information to non-privileged parties, b) is sneaky and underhanded, and c) is essentially an attempt to undermine the authority of the rest of the management with those employees.<\/p>\n<div style=\"clear:both; padding-bottom: 0.25em;\"><\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>And to expand a bit more on a comment from a couple of days ago.
