I managed to FINISH Fellowship of the Ring.<\/p>\n<p>(and it only took 6 months)<\/p>\n<p>I am so impressed with myself.<\/p>\n<p>I really cannot express how boring I found this book.  I&#8217;m not really sure why that is, because every time I go to try and read them &#8212; and believe me, I have tried many many many times over the years &#8212; I go in with enthusiasm.  Elves, swordfights, magic, politics, quests: the plotlines are all ones which I enjoy greatly in other books.  But there&#8217;s just something about this trilogy which just puts me to sleep.  The Wheel of Time is another series which I <i>should<\/i> like, yet don&#8217;t.<\/p>\n<div style=\"clear:both; padding-bottom: 0.25em;\"><\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>So I finally did it.
