So. I did a stupid thing. I cultivated a Lupin voice, and now he wants a story. Not just a story, a really long story that I have to write all by myself. I don’t see it happening. What I -wanted- was a character I could play on game, but I think he shot right past that point.<\/p>\n

So I’m stuck with this IDEA that keeps pestering me. The problem is, even if I do give in and try to write it, I don’t write well. I have no discipline. Writing by yourself is kind of boring — I roleplay, which generates tons of content that I didn’t have to come up with all by my lonesome. Plus, a story kind of has to have a plot and I’m usually rather bad at plot-resolution. Either it’s too huge or non-existant. I can’t seem to find the happy medium. <\/p>\n

Party of the problem is that people were discussing Pride & Predjudice in various locations over the past week — on mls, on IRC — just randomly. And it made me remember the nice long fic that Leareth wrote, basically a retelling of the entire book from Darcy’s POV. Rather similar to what she’s been doing with Shadows of the Moon. And certain people found this intriguing. And reminded me I’ve done it before, for various english classes. And grr. <\/p>\n

I have too many projects already! I am, finally, after 2 years of very little to do, extremely<\/b> busy. There’s SAS (shoujocon<\/a> pre-reg is now OPEN by the way. Sign up!), and this new game, and Japanese class, and work, and websites that I haven’t updated in about a year, and too many videogames to play, and various other anime related committments that I could take up should I so choose. Plus grad school applications and figuring out how to afford to go to Japan next summer. So I really don’t have time to commit to a story even if I should want to write it. Which I don’t. I have my own characters who want a novel if I’m ever that inspired. <\/p>\n
